Tennessee’s Murfreesboro The Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame has returned to the Embassy Suites and Convention Center in the Heart of Tennessee after spending a year abroad. This esteemed group is returning to Murfreesboro to commemorate a few of the Volunteer State’s broadcasters, both past and present. The nominees for the 2024 Career Class (living) consist of: Steve Bowers from Decatur, AL’s WHOS, WDRM, WBOL, and WVST-FM in Bolivar; also from WYNU-FM and WNWS-FM Jackson. Ted “Gunner” Ousley of WBCR Maryville, WOKI, WIVK, and WNFZ in Knoxville, Sharon Kay from WREN Topeka, Kansas; 92Q, WLAC, WSMV-TV Nashville; and WFSK-FM WIVK Radio, WBIR-TV, SEC Network, Bob Kesling, the Voice of the Vols, and more.
The nominees for the 2024 Legacy Class (dead) are: Cook & Powell: John Powell and Fred Cook Memphis’s WREG-TV and WREC Joe Case @ WTVF-TV, Hippie Radio boh Nashville, WJAK and WBBJ-TV both in Jackson WVOL Nashville’s Fast Freddie, Fred Harvey Buzz Benson AFR Network, along with WFMG Gallatin, in Nashville at WSIX, WLAC, WMAK, and WAMB.
