West Ham striker Michail Antonio has emerged as a potential transfer target for Premier League rivals Wolves as the start of the top flight edges ever closer.

There is some pressure to lighten the load on the wage book for the club, as seen by green lighting the free transfer of Kurt Zouma to UAE club Shabab Al-Ahli, despite having another 12 months left on his contract. That transfer appears to have fallen at the final hurdle amid ‘problems’ with a medical.
Antonio is another player likely to be deemed surplus to requirements by a ruthless Lopetegui. Niclas Fulkrug, Crysencio Summerville and Luis Guilherme have all arrived at West Ham to bolster the attack.
Antonio, who has been with West Ham since 2015, made 26 Premier League appearances last term but missed a chunk of the campaign with a knee injury. He scored six goals and registered two assists in those outings.

The Jamaica international has made a total of 308 appearances for the Hammers, scoring 82 goals, and was part of the side that lifted the Europa Conference League in 2023. He has a total of 254 Premier League appearances and 67 goals to his name.
reports that Wolves are ‘monitoring’ a potential deal for Antonio with Gary O’Neil looking to add a forward with Premier League experience to his side. The Midlands outfit have already acquired Jorgen Strand Larsen to their ranks from Celta Vigo but are also in the market for a player like Antonio.
Wolves have just strengthened their spending position by selling Pedro Neto for £54 million to Chelsea last weekend and could part with some of that cash to sign Antonio, who has another 12 months left on his contract, with the option for another year.
