Heung-min Son’s hat-trick, his first of the year, helped Tottenham defeat Burnley 5-2 on Saturday at Turf Moor after the visitors fell behind. Lyle Foster’s superb finish in the fourth minute gave Burnley, who are still without a point, the perfect start.
However, Tottenham quickly found their footing, and Son tied the score with a dinked finish in the 16th minute. Cristian Romero’s rasping strike gave the Londoners the lead in the last seconds of the first half. James Maddison made it 3-1 with a lovely curled finish in the 54th minute, and Son added two more goals quickly after the hour mark to seal an impressive victory that moved Tottenham to second place in the standings with 10 points after four games.
