Nottingham Forest are now expected to wrap up their next signing in the coming days with optimism growing around the City Ground.
Nuno Espirito Santo has already seen his options bolstered considerably over recent months with eight new additions added to his squad.
Forest did not get off to the desired start last weekend with the Reds conceding late on in the game to give up two of the three points they thought they’d secured.
Despite having been one of the busiest sides in the Premier League this summer, there are still opportunities for Evangelos Marinakis to add more to his squad at Forest.
And it seems as if the Reds are now growing in confidence that signing number nine could be completed in the coming days.

With less than a week remaining in the transfer window, a development seems to have emerged with a report from Brazil sharing an update.
According to RTI Esporte, Forest are working behind the scenes to sign Montiel on a permanent basis before the close of the window.
It is claimed there is optimism growing around a potential deal for Montiel to make his return to the City Ground after last season’s loan spell.
There is interested coming from South America and the Netherlands, but Montiel’s intention is to make a return to England.
With optimism growing, Montiel is even expected in Nottingham over the coming days.
Nottingham Forest looking to end the market strong
Despite having made so many signings, there is still room for improvement seemingly at Forest with the Reds looking to make some late deal happen.
But it seems as if upgrades in defence is also of concern to Nuno with a return for Montiel looking to be high on the agenda.
If Forest are able to secure some final deals before the end of the window, it cannot be said that Marinakis has not backed his manager this summer.
