Ipswich Town and scoreless draws are not synonymous these days. Not that long ago, Mick McCarthy, the manager at the time, considered 0-0 draws to be practically worthless. These days, though, Town most often scores if the opposition doesn’t.
Saturday, however, saw Kieran McKenna’s men go and get an excellent 0-0 draw away at The Amex.
Mick, you would have enjoyed this one; it was a true “ride the storm” job. It seemed like a matter of when rather than if Brighton would be able to put the ball in Town’s net when I watched Aro Muric’s goal in the first half.

Fortunately, our large Kosovan shot-stopper prevented it from happening. I’ve been worried about Aro since his Town career didn’t get off to the best start, especially following his poor performance against Man City.
However, he put on a tremendous performance over the weekend following his expulsion from the international team, with two of the best saves I’ve ever seen from a Town goalie coming from Kaoru Mitoma.
