Jaden Philogene from Hull City is still a target for Everton and West Ham United, but Ipswich Town is optimistic they can sign him.
In the Tigers’ attempt to place in the playoffs, Philogene excelled against Hull in the Championship game last season. He is now highly sought-after this summer, and Barcelona has made a bid and has discussions about perhaps bringing him to La Liga.
The 22-year-old is drawing a lot of interest from the Premier League, and Ipswich and Philogene are currently in advanced negotiations to complete a deal. Philogene is eager to move. Although it seems like Ipswich are presently leading the race, Everton and West Ham are also interested in signing the winger.
He might be joined in Ipswich by Jacob Greaves, his Hull teammate. Kieran McKenna is rumored to be want the defender at Portman Road, and Ipswich could have to pay Hull £30 million for Greaves and Philogene.
Philogene finds it appealing to join McKenna’s vibrant Ipswich team, and Town will be trying to hold onto him and get a deal done in what would be a statement signing considering interest in him from other teams.
