Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, praised Oleks Zinchenko and Leandro Trossard for their goals in the team’s victory over Burnley.
On the day, the Gunners prevailed 3-1.
Arteta stated about Zinchenko, “I was very happy with him.” The fluidity and menace he provides, the way he moves the ball, and the spaces he occupies and makes available for other players, especially against these teams, are all crucial in my opinion. The goal he scored is a really nice illustration of how he’s living the game when the ball is far from him; that’s why he’s first on the ball and scores the goal, so that’s what we need from him. I really loved his defensive play today and how engaged he was in every defensive move.”
Regarding Trossard’s goal and the fact that it was Arsenal’s 1,000th at Emirates Stadium, he went on: “I’m extremely happy with him because he threw his body over the line when needed, and it’s the 1000th goal at Emirates Stadium, which is a great number. I’m really happy with him because I think he flows every time you ask him to play, whether it’s as a nine or wide.
“I believe that he makes everyone feel connected. He is incredibly smart. He travels through the areas in a way that draws people in and creates options and spaces for them. Today, he did a great job of it since it was challenging to attack because the spaces were so small, but he provided us plenty of opportunity to connect and create spaces for us.
