Updates on Leandro Trossard, Ivan Toney, and Son Heung-min are among the most recent Arsenal news and rumors around transfers.
Trossard displeasure
Leandro Trossard expressed his displeasure about playing time after Arsenal defeated Everton 1-0 on Sunday afternoon, with the Belgian international scoring off the bench, according to all-time Premier League leading scorer Alan Shearer. Shearer explained on The Rest Is Football Podcast the difficulties the Gunners are having with their selections: “Well, that is the issue managers have with the size of today’s squads
.
After the game yesterday at Arsenal, we spoke with Trossard, and I asked him the question since I could see he wasn’t pleased. Do you now, as a football player, have to accept that you’ll be rotated in a huge team?
“You might participate in a Saturday game before taking a weekend off. To be left out, I would have despised that beyond belief.
Toney action
According to The Mirror, Ivan Toney of Brentford is expected to be a target for Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window. The 27-year-old will be entering the final 18 months of his contract at the Gtech Community Stadium when the winter transfer market opens, and the Bees are reportedly seeking at least £60 million for him.
The north Londoners allegedly would have launched a summer transfer approach for the England international, but his ongoing suspension prevented that.
Son Heung-min, the captain of Tottenham Hotspur, has issued a warning to Arsenal ahead of the highly anticipated North London Derby on Sunday. According to the South Korean international, “[Arsenal] won’t want to face us at this time,” according to The Times.
“Everyone is chasing after one another and battling for one another. Everyone is eager to provide a handoff to someone who comes off.
That strengthens our team dynamic significantly.
