Maddison nominated for August’s Premier League Player of the Month award
James Maddison has been nominated for Premier League Player of the Month in August.
Our summer transfer from Leicester City had a great start to life in Lilywhite, scoring three goals in three league games in August before adding another in Saturday’s 5-2 triumph against Burnley.
Beginning the season with a bang by assisting both of our goals in our opening weekend 2-2 draw at Brentford, he then scored his first goal for the Club two weeks later when we traveled to Bournemouth, guiding home from inside the box at the Vitality to set us on our way to a 2-0 win at the Vitality Stadium.
James has been nominated for the award five times in his career (September, 2018, January, 2021, December, 2021, and December, 2022), however he is yet to win.
‘Madders’ is up against Nottingham Forest’s Taiwo Awoniyi, West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen, Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma, and Manchester City’s Rodri for this month’s prize.
As is customary, fan votes will be used to choose the victors; cast your vote for James using the link below. The polls end at noon on Monday, September 11th. The winner will be revealed on Friday, September 15th at 11 a.m.
