It is no secret that Real Madrid have their sights set on a summer move for LOSC Lille teenage defender Leny Yoro.
The 18-year-old is seen as the top target to reinforce the backline following Nacho Fernandez’s exit.
It has been reported that Los Blancos already have an agreement in principle with the teenage French prospect.
Real Madrid in contact with Lille
Now, Fabrizio Romano reports that Real Madrid have been in contact with Lille as they continue working on the signing of Leny Yoro.
As mentioned earlier, there are no problems as far as the player is considered with an agreement in place.
The teenage sensation wants only Real Madrid and is prepared to turn down approaches from other clubs, even though top teams like Liverpool, PSG, and Manchester United are knocking on the doors.
Leny Yoro wants only Real Madrid.
The hurdle is now for Real Madrid to reach an agreement with Lille, given that the French club is making extravagant transfer fee demands.
Los Blancos, though, remain firm that they do not intend to offer more than €40 million considering that his contract expires in 2025.
With a line of communication now open between the two clubs, a mutually beneficial agreement might be reached considering that Lille could risk losing him for nothing next year if they do not sell and he refuses to renew.
As far as his other suitors like PSG and Liverpool are concerned, their only chance to sign Yoro would be if the move to Real Madrid ends up collapsing completely.
