Nathan Butler-Oyedeji, an attacker for Arsenal, has verified that he is qualified to play for the Super Eagles.
Oyedeji attended Arsenal’s Hale End Academy and is qualified to represent the Three Lions of England on the field.
His parents, a Saint Vincentian mother and a Nigerian father, raised him in England.
At the age of eight, Oyedeji became a member of Arsenal, and in the summer of 2021, he signed a professional contract.
In an attempt to get first-team experience, he has played on loan at Cheltenham and Accrington Stanley.
“My mother is from Saint Vincent, and my father is from Nigeria.” He said to the Arsenal Matchday program, “The Butler comes from my mom’s family and Oyedeji is from my dad’s side.
My father used to always tell me to study videos of Thierry Henry so I could learn how to play attacking, but I was also enthralled with Ronaldinho and other players’ skills.
