West Ham United are seemingly desperately trying to move on numerous players before next week’s transfer deadline.
Julen Lopetegui has brought eight new players to the London Stadium already this summer, whilst six have left West Ham.
The Hammers head coach is far from finished with his transfer business though, and is still keen to make more signings before the window slams shut.
In order for that to be a reality though, Lopetegui needs to ship out some of the fringe players, and reduce the wage-bill in the process.
The problem for West Ham is that many of those fringe players are on huge salaries, so getting rid of them is proving to be a lot harder than was first expected.
The squad overhaul at the London Stadium will not happen overnight, and there will undoubtedly be plenty of bumps along the way.

However, credit to Lopetegui, and Tim Steidten of course, for acting in such a ruthless and efficient manner this summer.
The Hammers transfer team are now apparently actively looking for buyers for one of our recent high profile signings.
The Moroccan has been hugely underwhelming for the Hammers over the past two years.
The 28-year-old has desperately struggled with the physicality of the Premier League, and he could now be set to leave the London Stadium.
But only if we can find a buyer…
According to a report from The Guardian, the Hammers are actively seeking buyers for the former Rennes man this summer.

Aguerd earns £64k-a-week according to Salary Sport, so we will definitely struggle to shift him for anything north of £20 million.
Nayef Aguerd leaving could free up space for new arrivals
Moving on the Morocco international would be hugely important for us this summer.
He’s probably our most sellable asset, and bringing in a decent fee for him should enable Lopetegui to go out and sign Carlos Soler and perhaps another centre-back as well.
The Spaniard is on the cusp of having a top six squad at the London Stadium, it just needs a few minor adjustments.
Nayef Aguerd isn’t good enough for West Ham, considering the clear ambition of Lopetegui.
And the fact that the Hammers are so desperate to get rid of him proves what a catastrophic error David Moyes made by signing him two years ago.
