The Kentucky Wildcats staff are now turning their focus to filling up their recruiting big board for the 2025 class, and have started to focus in on several prospects to hopefully add to the first full class under Mark Pope.
With the end of the AAU season now here, several names have also started to pop up as their play impressed coaches across the country. Now the BBN has another name to add to the list of offers in the 2025 class for that very reason.
On Monday night five-star guard, Brayden Burries announced that he has received an offer from Mark Pope and the UK staff. He took to Twitter to share the news.
Burries, a 6-4 and 200-pound combo guard from San Bernardino (CA), was the first player that assistant coaches Cody Fueger and Jason Hart watched this past Friday night, and obviously his performance left a solid impression on the Kentucky staff. After the offer the Cats now join a recruitment that features UCONN, Duke, Kansas, UCLA, Alabama, and several others. According to a recent conversation, now the Cats are trying to get him to Lexington for a visit.
“Kentucky has been reaching out [about a visit],” Burries told Jacob Polacheck of KSR. “I’m with my dad and we’re going to figure it out.”
If the Cats can land a visit, you have to like where they stand heading into another recruitment in the 2025 class.
Burries is currently considered a five-star prospect in the class of 2025, and is ranked as the No. 14 overall player according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. They also consider him to be the No. 3 combo guard in the class.
