FRANCE boss Didier Deschamps appears to have taken a cheeky dig at Arsenal after discussing the issue with William Saliba. He spent the next two years at home with further loan spells at Nice and Marseille before Arteta made him a regular last season. Saliba’s displays helped Arsenal mount an impressive title challenge at Manchester City, which ultimately ended in failure, and he has continued to shine this campaign. And his performances have also been rewarded on the international stage, winning ten caps for France so far, making his debut in 2022 and traveling to the World Cup in Qatar.
