The Arsenaland#039;hierarchy is frustrated with Gabriel Jesus and#039; returns after joining the club because they believed they got a top-class centre-forward and number 039; instead, journalist Paul Brown revealed to GIVEMESPORT.
Jesus was hailed as the final piece Arsenal needed to go on and challenge for the title when he joined 18 months ago, and while the Gunners have improved greatly since the Brazilian’s internationalization and arrival, there is still a feeling they and#039; hardly in attacking targets. Connect it to Jesus and #039; frustrating injury history and it’s easy to see why this move would be difficult.
But now that the January transfer window is upon us, there are some suggestions that Arsenal may decide to flex their muscles in the market again and sign the goal-starved centre-forward instead. Jesus saved Arsenal last season
Rewind just about six months and there were some shouts that Jesus was going to win the Premier League Player of the Year award. That’s because the striker looked to have made an immediate impression on his new employers, helping them challenge for their first title in just under 20 years.
It came after a big money move from Manchester City, where Jesus left as part of a £45m deal. The Brazilian star won four Premier League titles with the Blues and at one stage looked set to add a fifth winner and #039; medal in your trophy cabinet.
That didn’t happen, of course, as Arsenal eventually finished five points behind City in the Premier League table, who themselves added the FA Cup and Champions League to their seasons and #039; to burn However, Jesus doesn’t seem to be able to match the same level since last season, which is why Arsenaland’s form in front of goals is suffering.
So much so, there are suggestions he could cause Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta an unwanted headache.

Paul Brown Update – Gabriel Jesus
When GIVEMESPORT asked about Jesus and#039; Journalist Brown admitted there were some concerns from the Arsenal camp that he might not deliver the expected returns. The reliable reporter has suggested with his occasional mistakes in front of goal that Arsenal may need to sign a more skilled striker if they are to have any hope of challenging City for the title again this season.
Brown said of the situation at the Emirates Stadium:
“I think Arsenal thought they were getting a top-class centre-forward in Jesus. It didn’t really work for a few reasons. Heand had injuries, but when he did play, he probably didn’t score at the rate they wanted.
andquot;Given that, I think if Arsenal really want to win the league, they need to find someone who can score and who can be trusted to score around 20-25 goals a season.
andquot; It’s not easy to do, Jesus can do it, but he doesn’t look likely to do it for Arsenal at the moment.”

The only problem for Arteta and Co. is that a striker who can guarantee 25 goals per season is not so easy to find in the current market. A player like that is usually the difference between a good team and a great one, and Arsenal are seeing that in real time now. However, it has been reported that Arsenal have shown an interest in Brentford striker Ivan Toney, who could pack up and leave the west London outfit in January. However, ESPN have suggested that the Gunners could bring him to the Emirates Stadium when the January window opens in early 2024.
Despite Toney having spent the first half of the current campaign away from the football field, Brentford are demanding a hefty fee for the England international. As a result, transfer insider Dean Jones told GIVEMESPORT that it could be too big and#039;venitus#039; Arsenal will spend a fee in the region of and#039;£80m#039; as a center forward this winter.
Regardless of the fee, Toney could be just what Arsenal are looking for, with the 27-year-old averaging a non-penalty goal every other game according to FBref. Such a prolific striker could be just what the capital club need to break City’s stranglehold on the Premier League and bring the title back to north London after a 20-year absence.
