The match ended in controversy when Anthony Gordonand#039; the winning goal was awarded despite three separate VAR reviews.
First, Jacob Murphyand#039’s errant kick appeared to go out of play before Joe Willock recovered it and crossed the field. There was no decisive camera angle from which VAR Andy Madley could have drawn the necessary lines for the decision.
In addition to this, it was suspected that Joelinton may have handled the ball, offering it back to Gordon. However, this was not checked by VAR.
