On Thursday, Corriere dello Sport reported Juventus were demanding a €10m loan fee and an obligation to buy of €30m from Nottingham Forest for Douglas Luiz.
As the Tricky Trees worked on signing the Brazilian, they have also been trying to sign AC Milan’s Yunus Musah. Now, the situation is getting a bit tricky on both fronts.
Today’s Corriere dello Sport report that Nottingham Forest are involved in a ‘three-way deal’ for midfielders.
The newspaper states there’s no agreement in place between Nuno Espirito Santo’s side and Juve for Douglas Luiz, even if the Old Lady are desperate for a sale so they can fund a move for Morten Hjulmand.
There is also the situation of Juve midfielder Fabio Miretti to consider. His sale to Napoli hasn’t gone through as the Italian champions haven’t met the asking price, but the Partenopei are also interested in AC Milan’s Yunus Musah.
Nottingham Forest are keen on the USA international, although he’d prefer Napoli.
His decision can have implications for Juve. If Napoli do end up landing the American, Miretti will not be sold and the Old Lady will not get the required sum to sign Hjulmand.
Due to their desperate need for sales, this can end up favouring Nottingham Forest as they can then end up signing 27-year-old Douglas Luiz on a favourable deal.
The entire three-way deal can hinge on Musah and whether he agrees to head to City Ground or not.
