Diario AS: Milan a possible late option for Sevilla star – player keen on move

AC Milan have once again been linked with a move for Sevilla forward Dodi Lukebakio as we approach the end of the window.

According to Diario AS, Lukebakio remains one of the players Sevilla have marked as a potential sale candidate to ease their struggling financial situation. The winger has had offers, ones which his club would accept, but the player turned them down.

Lukebakio on the move?

Al Qadisiah wanted him in the winter transfer window: the Saudi side were willing to pay Lukebakio’s €45m release clause at the time. Normally, his exit price is €40m, but in the final days of each transfer window, as will happen now, it increases by €5m.

The Brussels native didn’t want to leave, even though, in addition to a magnificent salary, he would have received another large portion of the transfer fee: 10 percent, no less. That was the agreement reached two summers ago, when he joined Sevilla from Hertha Berlin.

There is still time left in the window, and it’s not at all out of the question that Dodi will end up leaving Sevilla. There have been approaches, and teams like Milan have him in their potential plans, as per the source.

However, the Rossoneri need to make moves first to make a move of this magnitude, with Samuel Chukwueze having been talked about as a potential exit. Lukebakio ‘certainly wouldn’t mind the San Siro’, if the opportunity came up.
