DETROIT – The Detroit Lions, first awarded marketing rights for Canada through the NFL’s Global Markets Program this past spring, will host their first two Canadian fan events in Ontario. These events are open to the public. “We are thrilled to be hosting fan events throughout Ontario this season,” said Detroit Lions SVP, Marketing and Brand Emily Griffin. “The Lions have incredible fans in Canada, particularly in Windsor, and they’ve been an integral part of our fanbase since the team was established in Detroit. The opportunity to engage with them more deeply, especially during this historic 2024 season, is something we’re very excited about.”
DETROIT LIONS TAILGATE PARTY WHAT: On Sunday, December 15 the Lions will be taking over a local Windsor, Ontario venue to put on a tailgate for the Detroit Lions vs. Buffalo Bills game at 4:25 EST. The event will feature tailgate games, a DJ, giveaways, a chance to enter to win autographed memorabilia and viewing options both indoor and outdoor to watch the game. The event will be held rain or shine and is free. No tickets necessary. WHO: Detroit Lions personnel WHEN: Sunday, December 15, 2024 12 PM EST is when Tailgate opens. PARTY DETROIT LIONS TAILGATE WHAT: When the Detroit Lions play the Bears on December 22, they will be bringing the Ford Field feel to Canada Life Place for a ticketed Watch Party. At 10 AM EST on Tuesday, November 26th, tickets will go on sale for $10. With participatory fan games, food trucks, and music, the gameday celebration on Dundas Street begins at 11 AM EST. Fans who arrive early will receive a handmade Detroit Lions tuque hat, and every fan in attendance will receive a personalized rally towel. There will also be a temporary Lions Supply store where supporters can get Lions apparel.
