Olympic gold medallist Sha’Carri Richardson appeared to furiously shove and confront her boyfriend in leaked CCTV footage taken from an incident that led to her arrest last month.
The footage shows USA’s Paris 4×100m relay champion appear to aggressively grab and push her partner, fellow American sprinter Christian Coleman. The pair are seen strolling along the concourse when Richardson, 25, reaches for Coleman’s backpack from behind.
As they engage in what seems to be an intense conversation, Richardson is spotted shoving her 29-year-old beau against a support column.
Bystanders become aware of the fracas as the couple move out of shot. When they come back into view, they’re heading towards security, with the athlete still jostling Coleman.
Another camera angle appears to capture Richardson hurling an object at Coleman before storming away. Later on, Coleman is seen talking to a group of police officers, reports the Daily Star.
Sha’Carri Richardson appeared to shove and confront her boyfriend
Richardson, who clinched gold with Team USA in the 4x100m relay, found herself in hot water after being arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, leading to an 18-hour stint in custody before her release. Coleman later confirmed he wouldn’t be pressing charges.
Port of Seattle Police were informed by Richardson that the spat began after Coleman took her headphones. “Richardson advised she did not assault him in any way and the dispute was only a verbal argument,” stated the police report.

Coleman came forward to speak on Richardson’s behalf regarding the incident, as reported by Citius Mag: “For me personally, I feel like it was a sucky situation all round,” he commented.
“I don’t feel like she should have been arrested. I’m the type of guy who’s in the business of extending grace, and mercy and love. It didn’t affect me. She’s a human being and a great person, and I feel like you know, we’ve been able to be really good team-mates all year. We’re just two dominant personalities. To me, she’s the best female athlete in the world.”

He went on to say: “She’s just had a lot of things going on, lot of emotions and forces going on inside of her that not only I can’t understand, but nobody can. She’s one-of-one. I know it’s been a tough journey for her this year.
“But she’s gonna bounce back because she’s the best female athlete in the world. I see it every day. She’s gonna be just fine. She gonna be good, and I’m gonna be good too.”
