Jordan James gave his reaction to Foxes Hub after Leicester were beaten 3-1 by QPR.

Leicester City midfielder Jordan James has shared his reaction after the Foxes suffered a 3–1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers, admitting the result was a frustrating one for the squad while insisting the team must quickly refocus on their next challenge.

Speaking to Foxes Hub after the match, James did not hide his disappointment at the outcome. Leicester went into the game hoping to secure an important result, but QPR proved clinical in key moments and ultimately punished the Foxes’ mistakes.

James acknowledged that the team had moments where they showed promise, but he admitted that their overall performance was not at the level required to get a positive result.

“We’re obviously disappointed,” James explained. “We came here wanting to take something from the game, and it’s frustrating when you feel like there were parts of the match where we did well but didn’t make them count.”

The midfielder pointed out that conceding goals at crucial times made the task even more difficult for Leicester. According to James, those lapses in concentration allowed QPR to gain momentum and put the Foxes under sustained pressure.

“We had spells where we controlled the ball and looked dangerous going forward,” he said. “But at this level, if you switch off even for a moment, teams will punish you. Unfortunately, that’s what happened today.”

Throughout the match, QPR capitalised on their chances and showed efficiency in the final third, something Leicester struggled to match. James admitted that the Foxes must be more ruthless when opportunities come their way.

“Football is about moments,” he continued. “When you get chances, you’ve got to take them. We had a few situations where maybe we could have done better, and if you don’t take those chances it makes things harder.”

Despite the defeat, James was keen to highlight the importance of staying united as a squad. The midfielder stressed that setbacks are part of the season and that the team must learn from the experience.

“We’ve got to stick together,” he said. “There’s a long way to go and a lot of games left. Results like this hurt, but they also give us something to work on.”

James also praised the travelling Leicester supporters who continued to back the team despite the disappointing result. He acknowledged that the fans’ support remains vital and said the players feel a responsibility to respond with better performances.

“The fans were brilliant again,” he added. “They always travel in great numbers and support us no matter what. As players, we want to repay that by putting in performances they can be proud of.”

Looking ahead, James believes the key for Leicester is to analyse the mistakes made during the defeat and ensure the same issues do not arise again. He emphasised that the squad will review the match carefully and focus on improving both defensively and offensively.

“We’ll go back, watch the game, and see where we can improve,” he said. “That’s the most important thing now—learning from it and making sure we’re ready for the next match.”

For James and the rest of the Leicester squad, the defeat to QPR is a setback, but the midfielder remains confident that the Foxes can respond positively as the season continues.
