Georgia Bulldogs hope to rely on young talent vs. Massachusetts

Tate Ratledge has participated in several games and started 33 for the Georgia Bulldogs. The scenario he and his teammates experienced against Tennessee on Saturday night at Sanford Stadium was described by the fifth-year senior offensive lineman as “the most electric atmosphere I’ve ever been in no matter what.” That was the top priority. The Bulldogs then host the University of Massachusetts, a 2-8 squad that recently dismissed its coach. Georgia was favored by 42.5 points at the outset. Therefore, it would be absurd to believe that UGA could replicate such a tense environment.

That being said, there will still be reasons to go. In fact, Saturday may be the greatest opportunity for the Bulldogs’ most ardent supporters to see what lies ahead. In the course of a regular season, Georgia coach Kirby Smart will start the majority of his regulars. However, given the opponent the Bulldogs (8-2, 6-2 SEC) are playing against and the roster’s problems, Georgia should expect to use as many players as they have this season.
