This took very little time. It was announced on Thursday that Georgia quarterback Carson Beck was bidding the Bulldogs farewell by logging into the transfer portal. From then on, there was conjecture that he could prepare to relocate to Coral Gables. We already know his next destination less than twenty-four hours after the news of his transfer broke. Insider Pete Thamel claims that Beck has pledged his loyalty to Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes staff. Unquestionably, this is a massive get for the Canes. Is it time for supporters to start hoping for an ACC championship and a College Football Playoff berth?
Pete Nakos also claims that Beck has officially signed a contract with Miami. At first, it was thought that Beck would pursue his professional aspirations by entering the NFL Draft. He changed his mind, though, and decided he wanted to play collegiate hoops one more season.
Some UGA supporters had hoped he might rejoin the Bulldogs in 2025, but we are certain that won’t happen. Kirby Smart will now hand off the offensive reins to Gunner Stockton. Regarding Miami, the issue of Cam Ward’s replacement has been resolved. Many experts believe Ward will be selected first overall, and he is headed to the NFL. Ward transferred from Washington State to Miami for the 2024 season, and he excelled with the Canes. Cristobal undoubtedly used this as part of his pitch to Beck.
