USA Track & Field | USA Track & Field Names Team for 2025 World Athletics Championship

141 Athletes to Represent United States in Tokyo

USA Track & Field announced its roster of athletes who will make up Team USA at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo this month. Athletes qualified for the team based on their performance at the Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon last month. Defending World Champions from the 2023 World Athletics Championship in Budapest as well as some Wanda Diamond League Champions received automatic qualifications for the team.

The World Athletics Championships will be held in Tokyo, Japan September 13 – 21 at National Stadium. Team USA will hold a pre-event press conference for credentialed media at National Stadium at 11 a.m. JST on Friday, September 12. Additional details including athletes in attendance will be announced prior to the event.

“Following Team USA’s world-leading 29 medal performance in 2023, we are proud to send this incredible roster of athletes to Tokyo,” said USATF CEO Max Siegel. “We have increased our investment in high performance to levels never before seen by this organization and U.S. athletes have responded with performances that make us medal contenders in nearly every discipline.”

Relay orders will not be announced until the day of competition.
