Sky: Milan aiming to close €15m deal for Spain U21 defender within 24 hours

AC Milan are looking for a new right-back, and they could close a deal with Almeria for Marc Pubill on Wednesday.

Following the departures of Kyle Walker and Davide Calabria, and with Emerson Royal not a part of the plans, Milan ares searching for a right-back who will ideally be the starter on that side. It is a position they have struggled with for some time now, and they need a long-term fix.

Acceleration for Pubill

Sky reports that the Rossoneri are interested in Guéla Doué, but Strasbourg continue to demand €25m, which is why the chances of signing Marc Pubill are increasing.

The Almeria full-back is valued at €15m, and Milan could try to close the deal as early as Wednesday (July 16) to beat out competition from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Barcelona.

In the 2024-25 season, Pubill played in the Segunda Division with Almeria, Spain’s second division. He made 36 appearances, scoring one goal and provided four assists, and now it seems he is ready to move on after they failed to gain promotion.

It comes after he had established himself as a talent to watch in LaLiga during the 2023-24 campaign, earning him the title of being the starting right-back in the Spain U21 national team too.
