Nottingham Forest Take Major Step Forward With New Front-of-Shirt Sponsor

Nottingham Forest have taken another significant step in their development by securing a new front-of-shirt sponsor for the 2026–27 season, bringing an end to a period of uncertainty surrounding one of the club’s most valuable commercial assets.

The announcement represents an important moment for Forest, who have been searching for a new principal shirt partner following the end of their previous arrangement with Bally’s. The change was necessary after Premier League clubs were prohibited from featuring gambling companies as front-of-shirt sponsors from the beginning of the 2026–27 campaign.

Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis described the agreement as “another important step in the continued growth of our club”, underlining the wider ambitions surrounding the historic East Midlands side.

The front of a Premier League shirt is one of the most visible commercial positions in football. A successful partnership can provide a club with substantial revenue while giving a sponsor exposure to millions of supporters and viewers around the world. For Forest, the agreement therefore represents more than simply placing a company logo on the new red shirt.

The timing is also significant. Forest’s new 2026–27 home kit was unveiled in July, with the design inspired by the club’s famous “Mist Rolling In” pre-match anthem and the atmosphere around the City Ground. The shirt was initially released without a main sponsor, leaving supporters waiting to discover which company would eventually occupy the prominent position.

The absence of a sponsor had also attracted attention because Forest had entered the new campaign without a confirmed shirt partner. Premier League records published at the end of July listed the club’s shirt sponsor as “to be confirmed”, highlighting just how late the commercial negotiations had continued.

That uncertainty has now been replaced by a deal that Marinakis believes can contribute to Forest’s continued progress. Since returning to the Premier League in 2022, the club have undergone major changes both on and off the pitch. Their commercial strategy has increasingly become an important part of the ambition to establish Forest as a regular Premier League presence.

The new partnership also arrives at the beginning of a fresh sporting era. Oliver Glasner has taken charge as head coach, with Forest preparing for another Premier League campaign and hoping to build on their recent progress. The club are entering their fifth consecutive season in England’s top flight, an achievement that would have seemed distant before their promotion in 2022.

For supporters, the new sponsor will become an immediate part of the club’s visual identity. Forest shirts are among the most recognisable symbols associated with the club, and the sponsor’s branding will be displayed across match kits throughout the season.

The agreement also strengthens Forest’s commercial profile at a time when clubs are increasingly looking beyond traditional gambling partnerships. The new Premier League rules have forced several teams to seek alternative sources of front-of-shirt revenue, creating a competitive market for major brands seeking exposure through football.

Ultimately, Marinakis’ comments reflect the broader direction of Nottingham Forest. The club are seeking to combine sporting ambition with stronger commercial foundations, and securing a major front-of-shirt partner is another piece of that strategy.

With the 2026–27 season underway, Forest will hope the new partnership can become symbolic of an exciting new chapter—one built around stability, growth and the ambition to compete at the highest level of English football.
