Kruise Leeming has sent a message to Wigan Warriors fans as he prepares to make the move to the south of France.
Leeming has joined Catalans Dragons on a year-long loan as part of the deal that saw Wigan secure the immediate signing of Oliver Partington from the Dragons.
The hooker has spent the last two seasons with the Warriors, joining the club ahead of the 2024 campaign following his stint in the NRL with Gold Coast Titans. And, in the time that has passed since he has made 57 appearances and scored 12 tries for the club.
Leeming also played a key role in the club’s quadruple win in 2024 with the one-cap England international scoring a try in the World Club Challenge against Penrith Panthers.
However, with Brad O’Neill and Tom Forber available, Wigan are confident that they will have enough hooker cover for the year with Leeming being the man offered up to secure the services of Partington once more.
As such, the former Leeds Rhinos man joins Catalans where he fills what was a glaring hole in Joel Tomkins’ squad with Alrix Da Costa their only other recognised hooker. And, ahead of the move, Leeming has sent a message to those Wigan fans he will be leaving behind.
“Thank you Wigan,” he wrote on Instagram. “The past two years have been nothing short of amazing, everyone at the club has made the place become home.
“Ahead of the next step in my career I want to wish you all the very best for the season ahead!
Leeming is just the latest first-teamer to leave Wigan this off-season with Tyler Dupree being moved out to Toulouse Olympique on loan, while Harvie Hill and Liam Byrne have joined Hull FC and Warrington Wolves respectively. Christian Wade and Jacob Douglas have also departed the club since the end of the 2025 season.
