‘I Can Show You Proof’ – Sha’Carri Richardson Alleges Abuse by Christian Coleman Before Public Apology

Christian Coleman and Sha’Carri Richardson Incident

Sha’Carri Richardson alleged that Christian Coleman was abusive during their relationship before later publicly apologising and expressing her love for him.

Sha’Carri Richardson has claimed that she was in an abusive relationship with Christian Coleman, in a new video that has been making rounds online.

The reigning world champion was arrested on Sunday, July 27, just days before the US Championships. Sha’Carri Richardson would go ahead and compete in the women’s 100m and 200m, where she finished second and fourth in the heats.

However, as she was being taken into custody, she had a lot to say about her boyfriend, Christian Coleman. A previous video released by TMZ vividly shows the degree of the confrontation between Sha’Carri Richardson and Christian Coleman.

Before she was taken into custody, Sha’Carri Richardson was seen asking the officers what wrong she had done and insisting that the arrest was uncalled for.

She insisted that they were just arguing, like a normal couple in a relationship and claimed that she did not touch him at any point.

Sha’Carri Richardson further stated that she will keep away from Christian Coleman if he was the one causing the issues and promised to take what belonged to her and walk away.

“I’m under arrest right now. What am I under arrest for? Christian, are you serious right now? I didn’t assault him, though, I literally was having an argument. I understand it entirely, we were arguing. I’m not a criminal…I argued with my boyfriend,” Sha’Carri Richardson said in a recently shared video by Kollege Kid on X (Twitter).

“We are in a relationship, and I will no longer mess with him or what he has going on. He has some stuff in my bag, and I just need to get it out of my bag.”

The Olympic 100m silver medallist added that she was surprised that she was the one being arrested and not Christian Coleman, who had actually been violent to her.

She was heard asking if she was allowed to press charges against Christian Coleman, who had been abusive in their relationship, insisting that she had all the evidence.

“I can also have evidence of him assaulting me as well. The argument was about him lying to me about some personal stuff in our relationship,” she added.

“When you let me go can I press charges on him, if possible because you never listened to my side of the story and just arrested me. I’m in a domestic violent relationship and you are arresting me. I can show you proof of me being in the relationship.”
