Top athletes like Anavia Battle and Julien Alfred remain undefeated this season, demonstrating their incredible form leading up to the World Championships in Tokyo this summer.

The American sprint star extended her unbeaten streak this season to seven after another impressive win at the Paris Diamond League, where she blazed to a brilliant 200m win in a Season’s Best (SB) of 22.27s.
Battle has been in tremendous form this year, winning her fourth consecutive Diamond League race to lead the women’s 200m standings. She’s surely a top challenger for a spot on the US team to the World Championships in Tokyo.

Kenny Bednarek
Currently the best male sprinter in the world, Bednarek has remained unbeaten in the 100m and 200m events.
Despite choosing to compete at the Grand Slam Track league, the Paris Olympics 200m silver medallist dominated both events in all three cities (Kingston, Miami, and Philadelphia) to be crowned Men’s Racer of the Year.

Bednarek is No2 on the world list this year in both events, just 0.02s and 0.01s behind the leaders Trayvon Bromell (9.84s) and T’Mars Mccallum (19.83s), which confirms his form as the man to beat before the world championships in Tokyo.

Like Bednarek, Saint Lucia’s golden girl is undoubtedly the best female sprinter in the world, remaining undefeated in both the 100m and 200m events.

The Olympic champion had back-to-back Diamond League 100m wins in Oslo and Stockholm, and her SB of 10.75s is currently No.2 in the world. In the 200m, she peaks on the top list this year at 21.88s, making her the top contender to claim the sprint world titles in Tokyo.

Melissa Jefferson-Wooden
Another standout female performer this year, Jefferson-Wooden is undefeated in the 100m and has only been defeated once in the 200m.
She dominated the women’s short sprints category at the Grand Sland Track, with her highlight performances coming in Philadelphia, where she clocked 100m world-leading and Personal Best (PB) of 10.73s and defeated Olympic champion Gabby Thomas in the 200m also in a PB of 21.99s.

Interestingly, Jefferson-Wooden and Alfred are yet to face off in any race this year. However, this will change as both alongside Sha’Carri Richardson, have been provisionally confirmed for 100m match-up at the Prefontaine Classic Diamond League on July 5.
Trayvon Bromell and Akani Simbine
The iconic sprinters are undefeated in the 100m. Bromell is the world leader at 9.84s, and Simbine is on his sixth streak this year with his last race at the Rabat Diamond League, where he clocked 9.95s.
