“How could he have fallen so far?” – Suggestion Crystal Palace signing has suffered career collapse –

After making a brief appearance in the FA Community Shield, Borna Sosa is yet to feature in the Premier League for Crystal Palace.

The left wing-back joined the Eagles from Ajax in the summer for €2.3m after having a loan spell at Torino last season.

Despite his lack of game time at Crystal Palace, the 27-year-old remains an important part of the Croatian national team but he struggled to make an impact in their 1-0 win over Faroe Islands at the weekend.

This has attracted criticism from Croatia legend Robert Jarni, who is confused about his downfall.

He said, relayed by Index: “He was definitely one of the weaker ones. I would have liked him to have played a good game, but he didn’t manage to fight back.”

Jarni noted that Sosa was far better when he first broke into the national team.

“When he came to the national team, he played fantastically. What happened? I don’t know. I can’t understand how he could have fallen so far?”

Not too long ago, the defender was a star assister for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, assisting 25 times across three seasons. For Croatia too, he has two goals and four assists.

Perhaps, his downfall has come about in the last two seasons as he struggled to make an impact at Ajax and didn’t do much at Torino.

Crystal Palace now have to decide whether the 27-year-old is only going to be a squad player for Oliver Glasner.
