Mark Pope and his staff have assembled a strong roster for their second year in Lexington. With big expectations for a deep run in March, the BBN is eager to finally watch this team in action.
One of the biggest unknowns on the roster this year is Croatian center Andrija Jelavic. After officially arriving in Lexington last week, fans will soon get a look at just how skilled the European big man really is.
But how good could he actually be? According to NBA Draft On-Point, Jelavic is considered a top-20 international prospect in college hoops this season. He lands at No. 20 overall on their list of 50 players and is the 4th-highest ranked international player in the SEC.
It’ll be interesting to see how Jelavic fits into Pope’s system. Watching his growth throughout the year should be a lot of fun.
