The Jamaican track star shared a light-hearted moment at the USATF Championships, unexpectedly drawing attention while supporting her champion fiancé.

Reigning 100m world champion Noah Lyles lit up the 2025 USATF National Outdoor Championships not just with his performance on the track but with a lighthearted moment involving his fiancée, Jamaican Olympian Junelle Bromfield.

Lyles, who already holds a bye into the 2025 World Championships in the 100m due to his title-winning effort at the 2023 Worlds, opened his campaign by winning his 100m heat in 10.05 seconds.

However, he surprised fans and competitors by withdrawing from the remaining rounds, declaring he would only compete in the 200m.

But it was not just Lyles who stole the spotlight. Cameras captured Bromfield in the stands, where she was intensely watching the races—until a candid and hilarious moment was broadcast live.

“Let’s be the first,” Lyles said in a recent interview about his ambitions.

“And I don’t think anybody’s done the quadruple in the 200m, so let’s be first. Again, it’s reinventing… constantly finding that next motivation. And sometimes it’s very hard, but that’s when you got to take a second, re-evaluate, get calm, get quiet. And then find yourself and know which direction you’re going to head in.”

As the camera panned to Lyles and Bromfield during one of the heats, Bromfield was caught making playful faces in the background.

The moment went viral, much to her amusement. Rather than shying away, Bromfield owned the moment, reposting the clip on her Instagram story with a cheeky caption promising she would “behave” the next time.

Focused on the 200m, Eyes on the Quadruple

Lyles has a record-breaking legacy in the 200m—his American record stands as the third-fastest ever. His triple gold haul from the 2023 World Championships (100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay) positioned him as one of the sport’s all-time greats.

But true to form, Lyles isn’t satisfied with legacy alone. “Nobody’s been able to go world champion-Olympics-world championship win in the 100m,” he said. “Let’s be the first.”
