The Alabama Crimson Tide finished the regular season with a 9-3 record and just missed the college football playoffs. Many thought that Alabama’s out-of-conference schedule cost them the college football playoffs this year, but it was two variables that cost them.

The first variable was that they lost to the Oklahoma Sooners and the Vanderbilt Commodores in SEC Conference play. The second variable was the Clemson Tigers winning the ACC Title over the SMU Mustangs. That’s what knocked Alabama out of contention.

On Wednesday, the schedule was announced for the 2025 season for the Crimson Tide. It will be Kalen DeBoer’s second season with the program. They will open the season on August 30 against the Florida State Seminoles.
Some of the other out-of-conference opponents will be against ULM, the Wisconsin Badgers, and Eastern Illinois. That is exactly not the gauntlet out of the conference schedule that some people thought it would be. They will be on the road against the Georgia Bulldogs on September 27 for the first SEC Conference Game of the 2025 college football season. Alabama has had Georgia’s number as of late.
The Alabama Crimson Tide will have three brutal games in a row in conference play against the Tennessee Volunteers, the South Carolina Gamecocks, and the LSU Tigers. Alabama will last face the Auburn Tigers on the road on November 29 for the Iron Bowl.

Interestingly, Alabama will only have seven SEC Conference games next season. We will see how this schedule plays out for the Alabama Crimson Tide during the 2025 college football season.
