With talks nearing a breakthrough, Newcastle makes a FOURTH offer for Marc Guehi in what might be a club record deal that is closer to Crystal Palace’s £65 million valuation.

For Marc Guehi, a defender for Crystal Palace, Newcastle has placed a fourth bid. According to sources, the new package—which is closer to £65 million—is being evaluated. The agreement may surpass Newcastle’s club record £60 million purchase of Alexander Isak. According to Mail Sport, Newcastle has offered a better offer for Marc Guehi, the defender for Crystal Palace.

The revised offer, which is more in line with Palace’s minimum valuation of £65 million, is the Magpies’ fourth for the England international. Palace rejected the third offer, which was for £55 million with an additional £5 million in add-ons.

Although the exact amount of Newcastle’s latest offer is unknown, it is considerably closer to £65 million. According to sources, the package has not been rejected right away and is still being taken into consideration. And even though it’s unclear if Palace will accept the offer, it seems like a breakthrough is almost here.

The latest offer is the result of significant discussions between Steve Parish, co-owner of Palace, and Paul Mitchell, sporting director of Newcastle, who are in charge of handling negotiations on behalf of their respective teams. Should the offer be accepted, it might surpass the record-breaking acquisition of Alexander Isak by Newcastle in 2022, when the player signed for almost £60 million.
