Training Camp Day 9: Jennings, Banks Return in Time for Extended Practice

On Saturday, the San Francisco 49ers held their longest padded practice yet, with the majority of their veterans participating in full. After recovering from their respective ailments, OL Aaron Banks and WR Jauan Jennings (ankle) both made a comeback. Banks seems to be taking part in a restricted manner following yesterday’s back spasms. RB Isaac Guerendo, P Mitch Wishnowsky, CB Darrell Luter Jr., LB Curtis Robinson, TEs Logan Thomas and Cameron Latu, WRs Jacob Cowing and Tay Martin, and OL Spencer Burford and Pat Elflein did not practice. Another practice with one-on-one drills was held on Saturday. Observations from the offensive and defensive line drills are as follows:

OL rookie Maintaining his impressive play, Dominick Puni is able to hold off DL T.Y. McGill and Maliek Collins. Additionally, he competed with Jordan Elliott, a defensive end. DL OL Colton McKivitz was handled around by Nick Bosa. OL Jaylon Moore managed to avoid DL Later in the drills, Alex Barrett and Bosa put up a strong fight, with Bosa using a spin technique in the last seconds to win. Year Two S During the day, Ji’Ayir Brown recorded two additional interceptions. One interception resulted from a bounce off the fingertips of a receiver’s hands. During team drills, rookie quarterback Tanner Mordecai received some reps and connected with wide receiver Trent Taylor down the middle of the field.
