Leicester City have announced their fifth signing of the summer, welcoming free agent goalkeeper Fran Vieites to the club.
City had been seeking another senior goalkeeper during the transfer window to support Jakub Stolarczyk and Asmir Begovic, but were unable to bring one in.

However, five days after the closure of the window, they have brought a new man to the club in former Real Betis man Vieites, who has signed a two-year deal.
The 26-year-old Spaniard mutually cancelled his Betis contract in August after the arrival of Pau Lopez. Vieites had been the La Liga club’s back-up goalkeeper for the past two seasons.
He played 16 games in all competitions last term, including all of their Europa Conference League knockout matches bar the final, which they lost 4-1 to Chelsea.
Vieites played his first senior match as a 15-year-old for boyhood club Bertamirans in the fourth tier of Spanish football, and was then snapped up by Celta Vigo.
