Arne Slot’s squad crushed struggling Ipswich Town 4-1 at Anfield on Saturday, extending Liverpool’s run towards the Premier League title.
After just eleven minutes, Dominik Szoboszlai’s incredible left-footed shot from just outside the penalty box gave the Reds the lead.
Then, in the 35th minute, Mohamed Salah scored his 19th goal of the Premier League season to make it 2-0, and shortly before halftime, Cody Gakpo made it three.
Gakpo scored his second goal and the Reds’ fourth in the 66th minute as Liverpool maintained their dominance after the interval.
Jacob Greaves gave Ipswich a late consolation goal, but otherwise, Kieran McKenna’s team, who were crushed 6–0 by Manchester City last week, had yet another forgettable day.
Liverpool’s victory keeps them six points ahead of everyone else in the Premier League standings.
