Ipswich Town are seemingly set to miss out on the signing of Lille striker Mohamed Bayo, as he is reportedly close to joining Antwerp instead.
This information comes from Foot Mercato, who state that the forward is on the verge of leaving Lille, but Ipswich will not be his destination. Along with Besiktas, they had expressed interest in securing his signature and were in talks with Lille regarding a possible transfer this month.

Bayo’s departure will clear the way for Lille to pursue Chuba Akpom from Ajax, continuing a chain of transfers as the window nears its end.
The report suggests that Bayo is eager for the move, having grown frustrated with being a backup at Lille, and wants to secure more playing time. Ipswich, Besiktas, and Antwerp all promised that, but Antwerp seems to have come out on top.
While the situation could still change, it currently looks like Ipswich will miss out on their target.
