Georgia now has the nation’s No. 2-ranked class for the 2026 cycle haver a commitment in seven straight days. The Bulldogs began the week ranked No. 6 but they have since added six four-star prospects and one-three star to move to the top of the SEC rankings and behind USC for the No. 1 overall spot.
Kirby Smart and company rose to No. 3 on Friday when North Shore (Houston, Tex.) defensive back Chace Calicut picked the Bulldogs over Michigan and Texas. Georgia then rolled past Notre Dame for the No. 2 spot on Saturday when Northwestern (Coral Spring, Fla.) defensive lineman James Johnson chose UGA over the likes of Florida, Michigan, and Texas.
The run of commitments started on Sunday when Cottage Hill Christian Academy (Mobile, Ala.) linebacker Shadarius Toodle flipped from Auburn. He’s the nation’s No. 188 overall prospect and No. 12 linebacker per the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that includes all four websites that publish recruiting rankings.
North Oconee (Bogart, Ga.) EDGE Khamari Brooks kept it going on Monday when he gave his pledge to Georgia over Alabama. He’s ranked No. 115 overall and No. 17 at his position. Valdosta (Valdosta, Ga.) defensive lineman Corey Howard, the lone three-star commitment of the week, followed suit on Tuesday.
