The athletics family united in sending their best wishes to Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield after their engagement with Gabby Thomas, Masai Russell and Athing Mu among them.

The athletics fraternity has united in congratulating Noah Lyles and his soon-to-be bride Junelle Bromfield after the two announced their engagement on Sunday.

 

Lyles proposed to his girlfriend in a colorful ceremony attended by friends and family and the news has been received with love from their track colleagues, as well as rivals, who wished them well in the next chapter of their lives.

 

Among those who wished them well is three-time Olympics champion Gabby Thomas, who said: “CONGRATS!!! I am so happy for you both!! Such a beautiful and blessed couple.”

Britain’s fastest woman Dina Asher-Smith, who now lives and trains in the USA, also responded with love. “Congratulations so happy for both of you xx,” she posted.

 

US sprinter Talitha Diggs, who was present during the engagement ceremony, said: “Forever looks good on yall.”

 

Olympics 100m hurdles champion Masai Russell and former Olympics 800m champion Athing Mu, who got engaged in September, were also happy for the power couple.

 

“OMGGGGG CONGRATS,” posted Russell while Mu wrote, ““I love ❤️.”

 

There was love coming from Britain with Olympics 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson and sprinter Daryll Neita also congratulating the pair.

 

American sprinting legends Allyson Felix and Justin Gatlin also congratulated Lyles and Bromfield.

“Congratulations,” Felix replied while Gatlin said: “Major congrats.”

 

Alexis Ohanian, the man behind the recently successful Athlos women’s-only track event, was also happy for the two. “Congrats,” he posted on X.

 

Lyles was taken aback with the outpouring of love from the athletics family.

 

“Thank you, guys, for being part of our moment,” the Olympics 100m champion posted on Instagram.
