The Detroit Lions are showcasing their black “Motor City Muscle” alternate uniform for the second time this season in their Week 15 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. The Lions were victorious in their previous outing wearing these uniforms, defeating the Seattle Seahawks 42-29 at Ford Field in September.
Many are speculating that this game could serve as a potential Super Bowl preview, with both teams having strong playoff aspirations. Buffalo (10-3) comes into the game off a loss to the Rams, who found success at home offensively.
A key narrative to watch will be the MVP race, as both Jared Goff and Josh Allen are considered top contenders for the award. Buffalo has won two consecutive games at Ford Field, with the most recent victory coming on Thanksgiving two years ago. In that game, Allen led a late comeback, finding Stefon Diggs for a crucial 36-yard completion and setting up a game-winning field goal by Tyler Bass for a 28-25 victory. Allen finished the game 24 of 42 passing for 253 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and added 78 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

Everything Jared Goff Said After Lions Beat Packers
Following the Lions’ 34-31 victory over the Green Bay Packers, Jared Goff shared his thoughts on the win.
Regarding his fall during a late fourth-down conversion, Goff explained: “I just got tripped up a bit. It’s a bad feeling for a quarterback, but I made it work and David (Montgomery) did the rest.” He also joked about Coach Dan Campbell’s comments on his athleticism: “Yeah, real athletic to fall down on a routine handoff.”
On the team’s aggressive approach on fourth downs, Goff noted, “We came in knowing we’d be more aggressive. Dan (Campbell) mentioned it early in the week, and he had faith in our offense to execute in those situations. At the end, I know he was debating internally, but he made the right call.”
Goff expressed the significance of Campbell’s trust: “That belief in us is everything. It gives us that extra motivation to perform. I’m sure the guys up front feel the same way—‘We’re going to finish this on our terms.’”
On Tim Patrick’s impact, Goff praised him for his consistency and unselfishness, mentioning, “He deserved those touchdowns today. He’s a stud and we’re lucky to have him.”
Reflecting on the game, Goff highlighted its special nature: “It was a division game, at home, and in primetime. The circumstances made it unforgettable.”
