Crystal Palace’s three best players in 3-1 win over West Ham

Crystal Palace concluded pre-season with a 3-1 win against West Ham, here are the three best players in yellow.

For Oliver Glasner, Sunday morning saw yet another impressive victory over Premier League opposition, following on well from the win against Wolves.

This time it was Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham who fell victim to Crystal Palace with Tyrick Mitchell opening the scoring in the first minute of the game but Michail Antonio made it 1-1 later in the half.

In the second half, both Jeffrey Schlupp and Odsonne Edouard scored to hand the Eagles an emphatic 3-1 win and win the Stateside Cup in the process.

Here are the three best performers from the 3-1 win by the Eagles…

Michail Antonio of West Ham United scores during the Stateside Cup pre-season friendly between Crystal Palace and West Ham United at Raymond James …

In every game so far, Daichi Kamada has been an absolute class act on the pitch, and this was no different as he started in central midfield alongside Will Hughes.

Every touch and pass from Kamada exudes quality and he has so far lived up to his billing as a brilliant addition. We cannot wait to see him in action in the Premier League in two weeks.

His versatility is also already proving an excellent strength for Palace, giving Glasner multiple options in midfield and behind the striker.

Jeffrey Schlupp

Next on our list of top performers is Schlupp who was on the scoresheet once again for a third consecutive pre-season game.

After a world-class strike against Wolves, Schlupp added another here as he headed the ball backwards which then looped over the Hammers’ keeper to nestle into the net.

It was a really good goal, and he continues to showcase his ability and prove why the Eagles were right to sign him to a new contract extension. He will also be hoping that these goals convince Palace to reconsider their stance on selling the German.

Odsonne Edouard

Finally, it’s Edouard who is the final name on the list for us after the impressive win, with his inclusion being based primarily on his excellent goal.

Edouard was sublime in scoring his goal as he knocked it around the West Ham defender before getting on the end of his knock-on and finishing the chance off excellently past the keeper.

The Frenchman has shown in pre-season that he can still do a job for the Eagles and therefore a replacement does not need to be signed – which clearly the club are agreeing with as he has been taken off the transfer list.
