3 car numbers moving to new NASCAR teams for 2025

Three Stewart-Haas Racing numbers from 2024 are set to move to new teams for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Three of Stewart-Haas Racing’s four car numbers have found new homes for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season after the Gene Haas and Tony Stewart-owned team shut down following the 2024 season.

The No. 41 hasn’t really moved to a “new” landing spot, per se, as it is still set to be used by Haas as he starts his new Haas Factory Team.

This team is set to enter only the No. 41 Ford for Cole Custer, who competed for Stewart-Haas Racing in the Cup Series from 2020 to 2022 before moving back to the team’s Xfinity Series program.

Two other Stewart-Haas Racing numbers on the move

The No. 4 is set to serve as Front Row Motorsports’ third car number, and it is set to be used for Noah Gragson’s Ford entry. Gragson spent the 2024 season with Stewart-Haas Racing behind the wheel of the No. 10 Ford. Front Row Motorsports acquired their third charter from Stewart-Haas Racing.

And speaking of the No. 10, that number has moved to Kaulig Racing. Matt Kaulig’s team are set to run the No. 10 instead of the No. 31 in 2025, and Ty Dillon is set to drive the No. 10 Chevrolet. Daniel Hemric drove the No. 31 Chevrolet in 2024.

As for Stewart-Haas Racing’s other car number, the No. 14 has not found a new home for 2025, meaning that the 2025 season is set to become the first without the car number since 2008.

With the No. 14 and the No. 31 out of the Cup Series for 2025, two new car numbers are in. 23XI Racing, which acquired a third charter from Stewart-Haas Racing like Front Row Motorsports did, are set to add the No. 35 Toyota for Riley Herbst. The No. 35 hasn’t been used since 2016.

Trackhouse Racing, which also acquired a third charter from Stewart-Haas Racing, are set to add the No. 88 Chevrolet for Shane van Gisbergen. The No. 88 hasn’t been used since 2020.

Daytona International Speedway is scheduled to open up the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season with the 67th annual Daytona 500 on Sunday, February 16, and live coverage is set to be provided by Fox beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET after a late schedule change. Tractor Girls battle hard to go top of the league with victory over Exeter

Ipswich Town Women went top of the league as they ran out 2-1 winners over Exeter City in Felixstowe this afternoon, thanks to goals from Sophie Peskett and Ella Rutherford.

Maisy Barker should have scored in the third minute of the game as the ball came to her following a great run from Peskett but, with the Exeter goalkeeper out of her net, Barker put her effort just wide of the post.

It was a quick start from Town, as Lucy Watson played through Peskett in the fifth minute. She had just the keeper to beat, but it was well saved by Abbi Bond to deny the winger.

Exeter broke the deadlock in the 12th minute through Sophie Gillies. She got the wrong side of Megan Wearing and, from the edge of the area, her well-hit shot fired into the back of the net.

Sophie Peskett scored the equaliser against Exeter City

Town drew level in the 30th minute as Peskett received the ball on the edge of the area and her shot through a sea of bodies took a deflection on its way to the back of the net.

Town continued to press after the goal, creating a number of chances, but Exeter remained firm.

The referee duly brought the first half to a close. A good game with little to separate the sides.

The second half continued much the same. Both teams saw lots of the ball but no chances within the first 15 minutes of the half presented themselves to either side.

Ella Rutherford scored in the 86th minute with a fantastic finish from distance.

There was very little to shout about in the second half, with just a speculative effort from Lucy O’Brien in the 68th minute being the stand-out chance, but it flew well over the bar.

Then, in the 86th minute, Rutherford scored an absolute peach of a goal. A great turn from Peskett saw her play it to Rutherford. And from from 25-yards she struck the ball with her left foot and it flew into the bottom right corner.

The strike secured a huge win for the Tractor Girls, who go top of the league with two games in hand over Hashtag United.

Town Starting XI: Negri, Mitchell, Boswell (C), Wearing, Barker (Hughes,60), Robertson, Doe (Guyatt,81), Watson (Rutherford,60), O’Brien, Peskett (Fisher,87), Thomas (Addison,81)

    .

There was some confusion for a moment about what exactly had happened at the end of Saturday night’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race — but Jesse Love made it all clear with an exceptional burnout in the Daytona International Speedway grass.

Love earned the series’ season-opening win on Saturday night by leading 30 laps and leaving nothing to chance in the overtime period — commanding that final restart from beginning to end. There was a wreck in that final overtime period, leaving the field in a bit of a fog if another restart was coming, but NASCAR ruled that the caution flag didn’t fly until Love had taken the white flag, which ultimately delivered the 20-year-old driver his first victory at Daytona.

It all happened so fast, Love was out of breath after his burnout. The Richard Childress Racing driver summoned enough energy, however, to send a statement to his team as well as the rest of the Xfinity field.

“We’re winners,” he said. “We know we are. We all want to win a championship for Richard Childress. Man, that thing was as fast as Xfinity mobile and I’m ready to go get to Atlanta now. It was awesome.”

Sam Mayer finished second in a race that featured eight cautions for 39 laps and 24 lead changes among 11 different leaders. Sheldon Creed took third. Carson Kvapil (fourth) was the highest-finishing rookie. Check here for full race results.

For Love, his win reminded him of his first and only Xfinity win prior to Saturday: the win at Talladega Superspeedway as a rookie in 2024. Leading up to Saturday he said he’d studied Daytona and realized he couldn’t approach the Florida track the same as the Alabama one.

“It was hard for me to win here for a while because I kind of thought the two were similar,” he said. “And then I studied Daytona for weeks, right, trying to figure out what doesn’t work for me here. The moment for me was, I went and watched Talladega and said, ‘None of these moves are going to work at Daytona.’ And that’s when I realized: Talladega is kind of more checkers, and Daytona is a little more chess. And that kind of goes with the exquisite nature of Daytona.”

Loven then said he reached the midway point of the race and had a decision to make, he said.

“I could go back to what I was doing (when I was a rookie), or I could stay the course and see if it panned out in the end like I thought it should,” Love said. “I thought I had nothing to lose, so I kind of just stayed the course of what I thought was going to work out in the end. It just comes down to being really patient. And staying with the line and making your line go forward and not pulling out and going three-wide and things like that.”

    That delivered him the lead.

And then once he got the lead, he didn’t relinquish it.

Daytona race originally belonged to Austin Hill, a superspeedway savant

Before Love took the win, it looked to be his teammate’s race to lose. Austin Hill, the Richard Childress Racing driver of the 21 car, won the first and second stages with ease. He was vying for the record of four straight season-opening NASCAR wins at Daytona. The only ones who’ve won three Xfinity Series season-openers in a row? Hill, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Tony Stewart.

But then his fates changed. Mechanical issues on Lap 89 forced Hill to the garage and ended his contending chances.

Hill’s departure to the infield split the race’s two big moments before the checkered flag swooped down.

The first came in Lap 87, when Kris Wright appeared to have braking issues as he approached pit road, crashing into Josh Bilicki’s car and prompting a caution. Wright was asked after the wreck on the CW broadcast what happened, and Wright said “communication issues” with his spotter was the cause of the blunder. It’s not clear what those communication issues were, however.

The second came in Lap 113, seven laps away from the end of regulation, where Justin Allgaier made contact with Justin Bonsignore, who then collected Anthony Alfredo and Sammy Smith. The caution came out, and the track didn’t get cleared until three laps to go.

There was another blip with two laps to go. Connor Zilisch was racing in the middle of the pack and then got turned into the wall, collecting some others. That forced the day’s seventh caution and overtime.

And then there was another caution in overtime — but not until Love had received the white flag.

Three quotes to remember from Xfinity Daytona race

    ▪ This was one of Mayer’s best finishes in Daytona. According to Driver Averages, Saturday’s P2 finish was his first Top 10 finish as an Xfinity driver in eight tries. Those finishes: 12, 30, 34, 27, 19, 36, 13. Although he wanted the win, he’s happy with “surviving” this superspeedway race. Perhaps some of that success could be attributed to good, aggressive, but clean racing on Saturday night.

Here are Mayer’s thoughts on the quality of racing Saturday: “I think that the entire series did a good job tonight. I think we put on a heck of a show. Obviously, I’m really excited to watch it. … The intensity was definitely up, and we didn’t wreck too many cars, I don’t think, so overall I feel like it was pretty decent. Obviously one spot short is gonna rub salt in that wound a little bit. But overall there’s a lot of positivity going around.”

Feb 15, 2025; Daytona Beach, Florida, USA; Xfinity Series driver Taylor Gray (54) and driver Justin Allgaier (7) during the United Rentals 300 at Daytona International Speedway.

    ▪ Creed, who finished third, ran an admirable race until the end, trying to chase down Love: “When he got control at the end, I tried to make a few runs at him. I think I got next to him. I got by him twice. But he could just pounce right back. Whereas I felt like when I would get passed by him, it would take me a few laps to try to create a run. He just had a really fast car and could rebound really quickly.”

    ▪ Allgaier, who is running in JR Motorsports’ entry in the Daytona 500 on Sunday, was part of the wreck that ended Saturday’s Xfinity Series race. He told reporters outside the infield care center that he wasn’t happy with how his night turned out and that he’d “own” the mistake at the white flag. He ended up P18. Will he be ready for the Great American Race? “I’m not sore at all,” Allgaier said. “So that’s good. Tomorrow is its own animal. We’ll try to go and run 500 miles and do a better job than we did today. I’m just hopeful we hit a lot less stuff tomorrow than we did today because today was not fun.”

  • Dan Campbell could be hiding a franchise-changing secret, NFL expert contends

Dan Campbell could be hiding a franchise-changing secret, NFL expert contends

An element of surprise could be the difference between a breakout season and a lost one. Campbell might be sitting on a bombshell.

Dan Campbell had a 2024 campaign that will be remembered as a mixed bag. On one hand, the Detroit Lions head coach secured the number one seed in the NFC. On the other hand, his team slumped to a rookie Washington Commanders quarterback in the second playoff game of his NFL career.

Now, he needs to figure a way forward after losing a regretful Ben Johnson to the division rival Chicago Bears.

One way teams burst onto the scene is by correctly harnessing the element of surprise. The Commanders managed this with Jayden Daniels in the regular season. Then, they somehow managed to do it again in January by sending the Buccaneers home, despite Shannon Sharpe’s endorsement of Baker Mayfield.

Campbell was taken by surprise, but he might have one of his own hiding in the background.

Mike Florio and Rodney Harrison claim Lions have a secret

Writing in a February 14 article for Pro Football Talk, NFL experts Mike Florio and Rodney Harrison opened up the idea that Jared Goff’s backup quarterback Hendon Hooker could be a franchise guy lying in wait.

He wrote: “New Jets coach Aaron Glenn, who has been the defensive coordinator in Detroit for all of Hooker’s NFL career, knows Hooker as well as anyone. If he’s got ‘it,’ Glenn will know.”

“Of course, if the 27-year-old Hooker has “it,” the Lions will know, too. Rodney [Harrison] suggested that the Lions are perhaps trying to keep Hooker’s skills and abilities under wraps while they possibly plot a future transition from Jared Goff to Hooker,” he added.

    More NFL News

Florio went on to recall that Tony Romo was a similar story. Sean Payton was aware of Romo, but the Cowboys refused to give up their backup quarterback. Once the Cowboys made the transition, there was no going back. The case could be similar for Hooker.

Dan Campbell’s secret is a complete Wild Card

Hendon Hooker, 27 years old, is getting up there when it comes to starting for a franchise for the first time. However, even if he were to start tomorrow, the quarterback would still be able to give close to a decade to the Lions. Of course, he would need to prove he has the stuff, first.

His college resume gives it a distinct possibility. According to Sports Reference, Hooker threw for 58 touchdowns and five interceptions in his last two years. He had another previous year in which he threw for 13 touchdowns and two interceptions before that.

Hooker has thrown for just 62 yards in his career with the Lions, so the sightings have been more than brief. At this point, the only people who know anything about his game have worked for Dan Campbell. Everyone else is in the dark. Of course, with Jared Goff still early into his breakout deal, the wait to see what he can do could be a long one. It’s up to Goff if he can keep Hooker a mystery through quality play.

  • British records fall at the Keely Klassic – AW

British records fall at the Keely Klassic – AW

Georgia Hunter Bell and Molly Caudery in fine form in Birmingham as Lina Nielsen and Neil Gourley set national indoor records

No Keely, no problem. The inaugural Keely Klassic did not feature the Olympic 800m champion in action on the track, but the event in Birmingham on Saturday (Feb 15) still bubbled along with a number of top-quality events.

Georgia Hunter Bell narrowly missed Laura Muir’s UK indoor 1500m record with training partner Sarah Healy clocking an Irish record in second.

The meeting did see some British records, though, with Lina Nielsen and Neil Gourley setting new national figures in the women’s 300m and men’s 1000m respectively.

In the field, Molly Caudery showed encouraging form in the pole vault with a 4.73m win ahead of the European and world indoor championships.

    )

Hunter Bell was coming off a fine victory in the Wanamaker Mile at the Millrose Games seven days earlier. Following the pacemaker through 800m in 2:09.87, she then took the lead with Healy close behind, passing 1000m in 2:42.79 and the bell in 3:30.4 before coming home in 4:00.63, narrowly missing Muir’s UK record of 3:59.58, as Healy improved the Irish record to 4:01.62.

“There are so many young people here – and especially girls – who look up to what Keely has achieved,” said Hunter Bell. “There seemed to be more fun and a bit less pressure today, which was fun.”

On the record bid, she added: “I’m proud about how I went for it and it’s important to always try to shoot for it so it gives me confidence that I can win races when it’s scrappy like in New York (Millrose Games) and also when I front run.”

Healy said: “It definitely felt like a good team effort and we knew we were going to push each other. I knew Georgia was going to go for the record and so I slotted in behind. I wanted to try to help out if I could but that didn’t happen although maybe another day I will.”

Hodgkinson was of course at the event and spent the day buzzing around signing autographs for the dozens of young Keely-ites in the audience and cheering on her GB team-mates. These included Caudery, who cleared 4.73m to back up recent 4.75m results in Karlsruhe and Lievin.

The world indoor champion retired at that height but her performance bodes well for the rest of the season. “I missed my first two competitions this season as I was dealing with a very small hamstring thing from training in South Africa,” she said. “But I’m really glad to clear my heights today off a short approach and I’ll go up to a full approach next week at the UK Indoor Champs.”

She added: “It’s probably been my best winter ever. Training has been amazing.”

Nielsen set the first British record of the day with 36.53 in the 300m. Taking down Dina Asher-Smith’s national mark of 36.77, Nielsen led Emily Newnham (36.88) and Ama Pipi (37.22) home.

“I’m just so happy I committed,” said Nielsen. “I needed to go through 200m fast and I did. I’ve got big goals this year and that was a good start. You need a specific race plan in the 300m as you’re running up two ‘hills’ or slopes and you need to make sure you attack each of those.”

Gourley broke Charlie Grice’s UK indoor 1000m record of 2:17.20 with 2:16.74 but he was out-kicked on the final lap by Samuel Chapple, who beat Rob Druppers’ long-standing Dutch record with 2:16.09 after taking the lead through 800m in 1:46.9. In third, Alex Botterill ran 2:17.25.

“I feel like I’ve worked very hard today,” said Gourley. “I’ve felt tired this week but was committed to giving myself this hard effort which will hopefully bring me on a bit. I have a lot of fitness behind me but not as much sharpness.”

    Neil Gourley (Getty)

There was another record attempt in the men’s 600m and a near miss for Callum Dodds. The target was Thomas Staines’ 75.31 from 2023 but Dodds clocked 75.81.

“It was close so it’s a bit frustrating and I felt I had a bit more in the tank,” said Dodds. “In the second half of the race I think I lost a little bit of momentum.”

It wasn’t all about British records either. With a time of 1:45.78 in the 800m, the up-and-coming Justin Davies broke a Welsh record which had been held by Joe Thomas since 2012.

    )

The women’s 800m was a slightly slower affair but won impressively by Issy Boffey as she went from last to first in the final lap to win in 2:01.69 – a qualifying mark for the European Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn.

    )

Elsewhere, Patrik Domotor of the Slovak Republic – one of several international visitors at the meeting – won the men’s 400m in 46.61 ahead of Efe Okoro’s 46.84.

Yoshiki Kinashi of Japan won the men’s 60m in 6.72 with Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake runner-up in 6.66, with Mitchell-Blake later returning to win the 200m in 21.16, albeit in literally a two-man race. “I wanted more but I have to be grateful to be healthy,” said Mitchell-Blake. “I have to keep grinding and see where it takes me.

“The 200m is my baby. The 60m, I love, but it doesn’t seem to love me. And with the 100m, we have our moments.”

Amy Hunt beats Mabel Akande (Getty)

Amy Hunt clocked 7.24 ahead of the defence of her UK Champs 60m title defence next weekend as Mabel Akande was runner-up 7.28. “I think it’s been the old Amy at these races lately and I’m waiting for the new Amy to turn up,” said Hunt. “So it’s definitely a work in progress right now. We’re trying to piece things together and I’m racing back to back in the next three weeks now.”

Sprint hurdles victories went to Rafael Pereira in 7.66 and Marika Majewska with 8.15 ahead of Abigail Pawlett, the latter clocking 8.15 just one day after setting a British Universities Championship record of 8.11 in Sheffield.

In the long jump, Eusebio Caceres, a former European under-23 champion from Spain, won with 7.73m as Britain’s Jacob Fincham-Dukes was runner-up with 7.68m. “It wasn’t my best day and I really had to fight for it,” said Fincham-Dukes.

Hodgkinson would much rather have been a competitor than a spectator, but said: “When I saw the branding for the meeting, it looked so good. But I was gutted not to race, so I have mixed emotions.”

  • Hollywood Star Pulls Off a Shocking NASCAR Finish as He Breaks Top 10

Hollywood Star Pulls Off a Shocking NASCAR Finish as He Breaks Top 10

Frankie Muniz, the actor known widely for his roles in Malcolm in the Middle and Agent Cody Banks, has made headlines by finishing in the top 10 during his fifth NASCAR truck series race.

This impressive finish came at the end of the Truck Series in Daytona. Originally, Muniz finished in eleventh place but was promoted one place higher after the disqualification of Parker Kligerman, whose car was disqualified after it was revealed his rear suspension was running too high.

This event saw the actor’s best performance in NASCAR’s developmental series, showing that his motorsport journey is gaining momentum.

Since stepping towards a career in NASCAR, Muniz has faced a unique set of challenges. Having participated full-time in the ARCA series in 2023, Muniz proved his dedication by racing part-time across different series in 2024, including the ARCA, truck, and Xfinity series.

The actor-turned-driver seems determined to prove himself on the track, pushing through last year’s challenges, including a tough 2024 season that only saw seven races.

Muniz is currently driving for Reaume Brothers Racing, which is known as a smaller team in the sport. This team, with its No. 33 Ford truck, gave him a platform to demonstrate his racing potential, even if their resources might not match those of bigger teams.

“They don’t know what I can do… I want to earn their respect,” Muniz told Fox Sports’ Bob Pockrass, reflecting on the skepticism he faces and his want to prove himself on the track.

Flexibility is key as Muniz juggles his acting commitments and racing. He is part of a planned Malcolm in the Middle reunion series, which, thanks to a tailored schedule, allows him to act for the first half of the week and focus on racing from Thursdays to Saturdays. How he balances his responsibilities will be crucial given the demanding schedule of 25 planned races stretching from mid-February through early November.

“I couldn’t ask for anything better. I think this truck was so fast,” he said following today’s performance. “I know I have to prove myself here. Last year, I didn’t have the opportunity to do that. And not that this fully does that.

“This is great. This is a step. Hopefully, I earn respect. I’m in the Ford technical meeting with the other drivers, and… even though we’re manufacturer teammates… I still don’t think they know what I can do or not.

“I want to earn their respect. And the only way to do that is to do it on track.”

He ended: “I’m happy. This was, this was great. This was awesome.”

  • He didn’t score, but Arsenal star who completed six dribbles against Leicester was clear man of the match

He didn’t score, but Arsenal star who completed six dribbles against Leicester was clear man of the match

Arsenal eventually beat Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon, after struggling for a huge portion of the encounter.

Mikel Merino scored two late goals that ensured that the Gunners’ travelled back to London with all three points.

Mikel Arteta heaped praise on Merino for his impact, with the Spaniard adapting quickly to the challenge of playing as a striker – an entirely new role for him.

Despite the Euro 2024 winners’ goal-scoring exploits, one man stood out above everyone else on the pitch.

Ethan Nwaneri was excellent in Arsenal’s win over Leicester

Deployed on the right-wing, Ethan Nwaneri was named in a Premier League starting eleven for just the third time on Saturday afternoon.

Arsenal were missing Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, and thus needed a forward to step up in these absences, and Nwaneri was the man to do so.

The teenager outshone Leandro Trossard and Raheem Sterling, providing the assist for the opening goal with a stunning cross to Merino, as well as having two superb efforts hit the woodwork.

In a game that lacked offensive quality in the final third, Nwaneri stood out, with his willingness to try difficult things, burst past players and take shots making him the clear man of the match in this game.

    Nwaneri’s vs Leicester Statistics
    Minutes Played 90
    Shots 4
    Expected Goals 0.21
    Accurate Passes 28/32 (88%)
    Touches in Opposition Box 7
    Expected Assists 0.56
    Key Passes 2
    Successful Dribbles 6/7 (86%)

Completing six of the seven dribbles he attempted, the 17-year-old’s ability to weave in and out of tight spaces was the only way Arsenal looked like unlocking Leicester’s resolute low block.

This performance not only resonated with the travelling Gunners faithful, who sung his name throughout the game in the away end, but also his manager and pundits covering the game on the TNT Sports braodcast.

Nwaneri is Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka right-wing deputy

Since Saka’s injury, Arteta has selected a number of different players to fill the void left by the team’s talisman on the right-wing.

Martinelli, Trossard and Sterling have all been granted opportunities to stake a claim to be Saka’s definitive deputy, and all of them have failed to do so.

However, Nwaneri has certainly taken his opportunities, replicating what the club’s starboy does better than anyone else in the squad.

His ability to glide past players, swing crosses in and take shots on his left-foot mean Arsenal miss Saka less when Nwaneri starts on the right, and Arteta ought to select the starlet in this role every week until the England international returns.

Once Saka is back from his injury, the Arsenal boss will have a dilemma on his hands.

Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna provided an injury update on Julio Enciso, Sam Morsy and Leif Davis following this afternoon’s gritty 1-1 draw at Aston Villa.

Left-back Davis, an ever-present in the Premier League up until now, and captain Morsy were both absent from the squad at Villa Park.

Distraught Brighton loanee Enciso then limped off the field in the 17th minute.

“Julio is down the side of his knee, so we’ll have to wait for assessment,” revealed McKenna.

“Samy we lost early in the week – hopefully not too major. It’s a little inflammation around his abdominal region.

“Leif was a really late one yesterday, so Conor (Townsend) had to come in at late notice. I won’t go into too much medical stuff with Leif, but, again, it’s a minor injury.”

Town, up to 18th in the Premier League table, are now preparing for a home game against Tottenham next Saturday.

Australian sensation Gout Gout is already being hailed as the future of sprinting.

The teenager smashed the previous 200 meter record for a 16-year-old with a time of 20.04 seconds during the Australian schools championships in December.

It is the second fastest effort over the distance by anybody under 18 — Erriyon Knighton posted 19.84 seconds as a 17-year-old in 2021.

Gout, who turned 17 just before the New Year, has already broken Peter Norman’s Australian 200m record from when he won silver at the 1968 Olympics.

Four-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson knows a thing or two about the sport and is launching the upstart Grand Slam Track League in 2025 with $12.6 million in prize money.

He spoke to talkSPORT at the Super Bowl and revealed that fans should pump the brakes on the Gout hype train.

“There have been so many phenoms that have come up at 15, 16 years old and didn’t get to ultimately be best of all time or a gold medalist because it’s a very difficult sport,” he said.

“I’m always hesitant in talking about him because everybody’s talking about him right now. I’m hesitant to put more pressure on him. You know, that’s undue.

“Let him just go out there and keep having fun and develop quietly. And that’s where he will have his best chance.

“He’s compared to Usain Bolt a lot. You know, a lot of people don’t know this — Usain Bolt was in the 2004 Olympics. Didn’t win, didn’t make the final.

“But ultimately he went through the Olympics. He did OK, right? He ultimately ended up being the greatest of all time, full stop, bar none. He’s the greatest.

“It’s a journey. So you don’t want to put too much pressure on this young kid, but he is a phenomenal talent. I’d like to see him just continue to be able to quietly and slowly develop into this because it’s a very difficult sport.”

Gout has also clocked 10.04 seconds in the 100 meters, leading many to anoint him as Jamaican legend Bolt’s heir apparent.

The GOAT has even admitted that the newcomer ‘looks like me at the same age.’

Athletics Australia president Jane Flemming says she will attempt to protect the young athlete.

“You can imagine at the moment he’s going to have every sporting code, every agent, every commercial entity, they’ll all be chasing him and he hasn’t even finished year 11,” the Commonwealth Games gold medalist told 2GB’s Wide World of Sports.

“Part of our responsibility as an organisation is to make sure the young man gets to his 30’s in good physical and mental shape so we need to try and temper it. Make sure he gets back to school, hangs out with his mates, has a good time with it all, while still progressing him on the way through.

“It’s a long road. Rightly so he’ll probably make next year’s world championships and then Olympic Games and another Olympics and maybe another Olympics after that.”

Gout’s father Bona recently confirmed his son’s name is Guot, and is pronounced ‘Gwot’.

“His name is Guot, it’s supposed to be Guot,” he insisted. “When I see people called him Gout Gout, I’m not really happy for him.

“I know that Gout Gout is a disease name but I don’t want my son to be called a disease name. It’s something that’s not acceptable.”

A translation error by the Sudanese government as the family migrated to Egypt is the reason for the discrepancy, per Daily Mail Australia.

But Gout’s manager has oddly insisted the original pronunciation is correct.

Christian Coleman makes his feelings known for Sha’Carri Richardson as the Olympic gold medalist receives special shoutout on Valentine’s Day

Coleman recorded a video capturing Katt Williams’s shoutout to Richardson from the stage while the two athletes were enjoying the show from their front-row seats. As Coleman recorded the video, he briefly panned the camera toward Richardson, who was seated beside him, highlighting their presence together at the event.

    Williams said:

“Sha’Carri, let me tell some you something, god dammit! You make us so moth******* proud. You make us so moth******* proud.”

The 28-year-old shared the video on his Instagram story on February 14, adding a caption hinting at his relationship with Richardson:

Sha’Carri Richardson has competed in the World Championships, with her most recent appearance in the 2023 games. She won two gold medals in the women’s 100m and the 4x100m relay, along with a bronze medal in the women’s 200m event. In addition to her World Championships victories, she made her debut at the 2024 Olympic Games and won one gold and one silver in the 4x100m relay and 100m events, respectively.

Christian Coleman, on the other hand, competed in the 2016 Rio Games and 2024 Paris Olympics. However, in both of the events, he did not secure any medals, placing seventh and eighth, respectively. In the 2023 World Championships, he won a gold medal in the men’s 4x100m relay and finished fifth in the men’s 100m race. Throughout his career, Coleman has won a total of eight World Championship medals — four gold and four silver.

At the Super Bowl LIX held at the Superdome in New Orleans, Sha’Carri Richardson and Christian Coleman made a joint appearance in the stands during Jalen Hurts’ performance. Coleman shared the video of Kendrick Lamar’s performance on Instagram on February 11.

The event attracted several high-profile athletes and Olympians, many of whom were involved in brand promotions. Among them, Coleman and Richardson were spotted in the stands. The video he shared featured a cheering crowd and several pre and post-game photos.

Coleman also wrote a caption referring to his hometown team, the Atlanta Falcons, and expressed hope for their success next season. He wrote:

At the Super Bowl LIX, the Philadelphia Eagles secured their second championship title with a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Eagles’ defense dominated, sacking Patrick Mahomes six times and forcing multiple turnovers. A key moment came when cornerback Cooper DeJean intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown. Despite a late push from the Chiefs, the Eagles maintained control and confirmed their victory.
