Mikel Arteta has been full of praise for Gabriel Jesus following his brace in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Jesus’ two goals against Inter Milan mean that the Gunners have now won seven from seven in the Champions League, and a guaranteed top-two finish is secured.

The Brazilian produced one of his best performances in an Arsenal shirt to date as he ran riot in the 3-1 victory at the San Siro.
After the game, Mikel Arteta was full of praise for him, and his display has just made the manager’s decision rather straightforward.
Mikel Arteta thought Gabriel Jesus was ‘unbelievable’ vs Inter Milan
Arsenal boss Arteta has labelled Gabriel Jesus’ performance against Inter Milan as ‘unbelievable’ following his two goals for Arsenal.
The Spanish manager is in agreement that the 28-year-old was the Man of the Match, but claimed his work rate was just as important as his two goals.
Speaking after the match, Arteta told Sports on Prime Video: “An unbelievable player and the bigger the game is, the more comfortable he plays, and I’m so happy for him.
“I think he deserves the Man of the Match award, not only for the goals, but for all the work that he’s done.”
It was an emotional evening for Jesus, who really showed strong signs that he is finally getting back to his best for the Gunners.
Viktor Gyokeres came off the bench to also score; however, the Brazilian has already proved why he should be the first-choice number nine.
Gabriel Jesus must now start all the big matches for Arsenal
As Arteta pointed out with Jesus, ‘the bigger the game is, the more comfortable he plays’, which is his sign to utilise the striker in the big occasions.
This season, there has been much debate as to who Arsenal’s best striker is for the big occasions, but right now, it’s clear that man is Jesus.
Starting from the weekend against Manchester United, the 28-year-old should keep his place leading the line for the Gunners.
Gyokeres was so poor against Nottingham Forest, and he doesn’t offer enough, even if he does score the occasional goal.
Against Inter, Jesus won four duels, had 28 touches, completed 14 passes, and scored both his shots, in what was a complete performance from the Brazilian.
