Davis, 26, is under contract at Portman Road until the summer of 2029 meaning he still has a few years left to run down on his deal in Suffolk yet still. He has made 24 appearances in this campaign to date, 23 of which have come in the league, and he has chipped in with one goal and three assists.
Gholam has been impressed with the defender’s displays over recent times and has said, as per a report by Sky Sports: “Davis has taken back to the Championship again superbly. Despite competition from the likes of Ryan Giles and Ryan Manning, Davis stands out for what he consistently delivers on Ipswich’s left side.
“With pressure on Ipswich to challenge immediately after relegation, Davis has been a crucial figure. He is excellent going forward, increasingly reliable defensively and a joy to watch at this level. A key part of Ipswich settling into the season.”
Ipswich Town left-back Leif Davis catching the eye
Ipswich Town will be hoping to retain the services of Davis for as long as possible. He is a key member of ITFC’s squad and is valuable to the way they play under the guidance of Kieran McKenna.
The Newcastle-born man is one of the most dangerous players in his position in the league. He likes to get up and down the flank of defence and get involved in attacks as much as possible.

His left foot can be deadly and has been a big weapon for the Tractor Boys over recent years. He was snapped up his current club back in 2022 and he hasn’t looked back since.
Davis helped Ipswich Town rise from League One to the top flight under McKenna before their demotion last year. He has played over 150 games for them now and been a good servant.
Prior to his move, he spent four years on the books at Leeds United. He made 14 outings for the Whites during his time at Elland Road and was also loaned out to AFC Bournemouth to get some experience under his belt.

What now for Ipswich Town?
Ipswich Town are back in league action this weekend. ITFC face a home clash against Blackburn Rovers as they aim to keep their momentum going.
The Tractor Boys are sat in 3rd place in the table after 25 fixtures and they are inside the play-offs along with Preston North End, Millwall and Watford. They are only two points behind Middlesbrough in 2nd and eight off Coventry City at the summit.
McKenna’s men beat Blackpool 2-1 in the third round of the FA Cup over the weekend to book their place in round four. Jaden Philogene and Jacob Greaves got their goals against the Tangerines, whilst in-form striker Ashley Fletcher bagged again for the visitors.
