Former Ipswich Town loanees Ben Godfrey and Julio Enciso are on the verge of joining new clubs this summer.

The duo spent the second half of last season at Portman Road from Atalanta and Brighton respectively, as the Blues suffered relegation from the Premier League.

Enciso, who made 13 appearances for Town, scoring twice, is close to joining Ligue 1 side Strasbourg in a deal worth a total of £13.8 million.

The 21-year-old Paraguayan international is expected to spend time in France, before a potential move to Chelsea in the future, with both clubs owned by the BlueCo group.

Last month, the forward underwent knee surgery which was expected to keep him out of action for two or three months.

Elsewhere, Godfrey is close to signing for one of Town’s Championship promotions rivals on loan.

The 27-year-old defender is returning to England to join Sheffield United, who will face Kieran McKenna’s side at Portman Road next month.

Godfrey played just five times for the Blues during his disappointing spell in Suffolk.
