Prior to Saturday’s crucial game against the Tennessee Volunteers, Georgia Bulldogs standout running back Trevor Etienne was doubtful due to a rib ailment. However, according to Georgia’s most recent injury report, Etienne was downgraded to “out” on Thursday. Etienne missed the whole second half of the team’s victory over Florida in Week 10 due to an injury. On a snap count against Ole Miss, he came back.
With injuries to Cash Jones (ankle), Roderick Robinson (toe), and Branson Robinson (MCL), the Bulldogs are already shorthanded at running back.
Although Jones is still dubious, it is unlikely that he will be able to manage a heavy workload. Nate Frazier, a true freshman, will therefore be Georgia’s mainstay. Dillon Bell, a wide receiver, or Chauncey Bowens and Dwight Phillips Jr., freshmen backs, further down the running back depth, might be their other choices.
