Ipswich Town have no interest in selling striker Liam Delap this month.
Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has reiterated that the club has no intention of selling talismanic striker Liam Delap this month.
The Blues purchased the powerful England Under-21 international from Manchester City in a £20m deal last summer and he’s really taken to life in the Premier League, notching eight goals in 21 appearances.
Chelsea and Manchester United have already been credited with interest in his signature, while it’s understood that City can’t activate a significant buy-back clause until the summer.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s game at league leaders Liverpool, McKenna was asked if he was surprised no-one’s come knocking for Delap this month.
“I don’t know what doors have been knocked, to be honest,” he replied.
“I don’t have interest. We don’t have a doorbell and the music’s on loud!
“Liam’s doing okay. He’s a young striker, he’s still got a lot of improving to do and is working hard here to keep helping the team.”
