Jets Having Problem With Key Aaron Rodgers Relationship

The New York Jets will be hoping for better luck during the 2024 NFL season after last year was derailed by injuries.

All eyes will be on quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who looks to be fully recovered from the Achilles tear he suffered in Week 1 last season and has been a full-go in training camp.

Rodgers will be the key to the Jets getting to the playoffs, and keeping him upright and healthy will be crucial.

New York understood this and invested in its offensive line this past free agency period, though they’ll also be counting on returning players like center Joe Tippmann to help protect Rodgers.

Tippman was a rare bright spot for the Jets on the line last season as he was named to the 2023 PFWA All-Rookie Team.

However, it appears he is still struggling to get snaps to Rodgers in live action, via Rich Cimini of ESPN.

“A fantastic drive by Rodgers and company gets detailed by a high snap by Joe Tippmann. The ball sailed over Rodgers’ head for a loss of 22. Tippmann’s snapping problem persists,” Cimini reported from a recent scrimmage.

The quarterback-center relationship is one of the more under-discussed ones in the NFL as those two need to be on the same page to get the offense up and running properly.

From the sound of it, Tippman is struggling with his snapping mechanics, which is setting the offense back.

Fortunately, it’s still training camp and not the regular season, so Tippman has time to get right and fix his issues.
