Former Ipswich Town loanee Dominic Thompson has joined Scottish Premiership side Motherwell on a deal until the end of the season after leaving Blackpool.
The 23-year-old full-back had his deal with the League One outfit terminated by mutual consent last week.
Thompson played over 50 games for the Tangerines since joining from Brentford for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2022, but has struggled for minutes this season.
He signed for Stuart Kettlewell’s side in search of regular game time, making his debut for the Well as a 60th minute sub in their 2-1 defeat at St Johnstone on the weekend.
However, Kettlewell has since resigned as Motherwell manager, with the North Lanarkshire club saying the 40-year-old cited the personal abuse he had received during a recent downturn in results.0:00
